Phoenix Healing Arts

About your practitioner: Rick Van Hassel BA Kin., R.S.T., CST

Thank you for visiting Phoenix Healing Arts!

Since early adulthood I noticed a need in our western culture and humanity for a deeper integration of the information and experience that we have about our bodies. This vessel that supports our beautiful Spirit.

I began study in Kinesiology at Western University with the intent of proceeding into a career that would help and inspire others to heal.   I studied for four years and along the way I was drawn to practice holistic therapy.  I was particularly interested in traditional medicine and massage techniques.  I truly saw that our emotional states profoundly influence our health.

To support people in their desire for better health, and for a fulfilling, rewarding life I studied the wonderful Japanese art of Shiatsu Therapy at Langara College/Sourcepoint Shiatsu Centre in Vancouver BC.  Having been in practice now for over 14 years I am even more captivated by Shiatsu than when I first began study.  Its ability to nurture the Body, Mind, Heart and Spirit is profound.

Following Shiatsu study I proceeded to learn Cranial Sacral Therapy.  It is a healing system that compliments Shiatsu and massage beautifully and further deepens the supportive and nurturing quality of the sessions I provide.

I am in gratitude for the ability to support others in their lives with these modalities.

Additionally I have been fortunate to study mindfulness, metaphysics and energy healing through several different channels.  These systems of self development have had a monumental impact on my own search for deeper healing and the ability to support others in theirs.  I now instruct classes on mindfulness and advanced metaphysics practices, which are powerful systems of healing and personal development.

In my personal life I enjoy sharing good times with family and friends. Healthy Food, Exercise, Hiking, Music, Dance,  ...studying Healing and Metaphysics...and practicing Photography.

Thanks for visiting.  I look forward to supporting your

healing journey at this present time!
